GENERAL INFORMATION
- All karts must register and pay yearly registration fee.
- All karts must sign in each night.
- All classes must draw for heat race starting position.
- *Draw closes 6:00pm. (Miss draw, begin both heats in last.)
- Ist heat race line-up is determined by draw.
- 2nd heat line-up is 1st heat race finish inverted. If you have a DNF in 1st heat you will be in the rear of 2nd heat.
- Heat race finishes are added together to determine Feature line-up. 1st heat finish breaks a tie.
- Maximum of 12 karts per heat and 16 karts per A-Feature.
- To receive feature points you must make 1 lap under yellow, (at least make a lap on the track.)
- Heat races-8 laps, except Beginner, A-Feature-15 laps, except Beginner.

CLASS & AGE REQUIREMENTS I-35 Class is determined by age and prerequisites as of 3-01-08. If age is questionable, birth certificates will be required.
- 3HP JR. BEGINNER - 4-6 YEARS
- 5HP BEGINNER BOX STOCK - 6-9 YEARS
- 5HP BOX STOCK - 7 TO 13 YEARS
- ANIMAL CLASS - 16 AND UNDER WITH 1 YEAR EXP. AT TRACK DISCRETION.
- MODIFIED - 18 AND UNDER WITH 2 YR EXP. AT TRACK DISCRETION
- ADULT BOX STOCK - 16 AND UP AT TRACK DISCRETION
- NO OPEN FLAT KARTS
One kart one class, you may not run in 2 classes, for example, box and super stock with the same kart.

*Yearly Registration Fee- $25.00 for season or $15.00 for one-race only. If you race again during season, you will be required to pay the remaining $10.00.

A - Main Feature Finishes
Heat winners receive 5 points, per heat.
B-Main points start after last place in A-Main, example 12 karts in A-Main, 1st in B-Main receives 40 points.
- We will drop 2 lowest point races, or 2 missed races, for year end ponts.
- All drivers are considered point racers and will accumulate points in their class.
- Drivers will earn points based on their actual feature finish and for winning heats. (exception: 2 classes conmbined)
- Points will accumulate through the race season.
- You must be registered for at least 15 races to qualify for year end trophy.
- We will drop missed races, lowest score, or NL (no lap) only.
- If you get a black flag (BF) or are disqualified (DQ) you may not drop those scores.
- If you are disqualified or get a black flag in your feature you will forfiet your heat points for that night.

HEAT PROCEDURES

- 1st heat race line-up is determined by draw.

- Heat race finishes are added together to determine Feature line-up. 1st heat finish breaks a tie.
- Parents and other kart representatives are not allowed in the infield during the racing program for all classes, except the 3HP Beginner Class (1 adult per kart).
- Anyone crossing the racetrack during a race will disqualify his or her kart for that race.
- STARTS-Flagman starts all races on the initial green flag, example; before 1st lap.
- Green will be given when front row karts are keeping a reasonable pace, and front row karts are in line.
- If all karts do not make a "clean start" to the finish line a "NO START" may be called.
- Any kart jumping the start 2 times will be moved to the last place position.
- 2 tries to start, then front row goes to rear.
- NO STARTS- At the discretion of the flagman, a No-Start may be called if all karts do not cross the finish line when given a green flag on STARTS. All karts will keep their position of a No-start is called. If you have been penalized for jumping the start, you will remain in the rear.
- RE-STARTS- After 1 complete lap only. Front row kart is responsible for slow even starts.
- Jr. Beginner class - flagman starts all.
- All other classes may start race in turn 3 if lights are off and caution is ended. Any kart jumping the start 2 times will go to the rear.
- If you die in the shoot (before the gate) you have 30 sec. to start your engine, and keep position. After that time you will not be allowed to enter the track.
- In all classes, single file restarts after 1/2 way thru.
- RED/YELLOW - If there is a red/yellow, all karts involved, or stopped on the track at that time, will go to the rear, for multiple karts we will use last complete for order.
- Karts not involved will keep their position based on last complete lap.
- Any kart not running after entering the track will be allowed to start engine, if this becomes excessive, the kart will be sent to the pits. IF THIS BECOMES A PROBLEM WE WILL GO BACK TO THE DEAD ENGINE RULE USED LAST SEASON.
- If any kart is involved in 3 red flags in the same race for any reason, the kart will be sent to the pits.
- REPAIRS - you may not make repairs to your kart in the heats; if you break you are out.
- Any kart loosing fuel, bumpers and/or other parts that bring out a red flag will be sent to the pits. Exception, when it's one lap to go, we will try to finish the race.
- BLACK FLAGS - A black flag may be given anytime after a good green, including last lap. If you get a black flag in a heat you will start all other races in the rear. Must have 2 officials in agreement to give a Black Flag. If you damage another kart during caution, you will automatically be black flagged. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
- In any class, the first place kart completes a lap. Not all karts must pass start/finish line to complete lap. During a caution, we will go backl to previous lap completed.
- The race procedures, with the exception of inappropriate conduct, may or may not be used in the 3HP Beginner class at the discretion of the owners of the track. This is a learning class and needs to be handled differently.
- Do not approach started or scoring judges during a race. This could result in your kart being sent to pits or sent home without points for the night!!!

- Any car loosing fuel, bumpers and/or other parts that bring out a red flag will be sent to the repair area. Exception, when it's 1 lap to go we will try to finish the race.
- PARENTS TUNING OR ADJUSTING KART AFTER IT ENTERS TRACK, don't approach kart under caution while line-up is being done, soing so will result in your kart going to the repair area!!!

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
- SPORTSMANSHIP - Unsportsman-like conduct will not be toerated.
- Rough driving will not be tolerated. Anyone called for rough driving will be black flagged and sent to the pits. Two offenses in the same night will result in 1 week suspension.
- Any conduct, by children patents, pit crews, etc. toward another child, parent pit crew, etc. deemed inappropriate will be barred from premises for the remainder of the season and will forfeit all points, trophies, jackets, etc.
- Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the premises.
- Refusal to have kart inspected will result in loss of points for the race and a possible one (1) week suspension.
- PROTEST - Motor protest is 60.00, awarded to track. (Non-refundable)
- In motor protest, if legal tack will give 10.00 for gaskets.
- Gas protest is 10.00 awarded to track. (Non-refundable)
- Weight protest is 10.00, awarded to track. (Non-refundable)
- Visual protest is 10.00, awarded to track. (Non-refundable)
- All protests must be made to an official before karts enter the track for their feature.
- All protests will be announced before that feature when the karts enter the track.
- MOTOR CLAIMS - Only the track has the option of claiming any motor in any classes after the A-Feature is complete for claim price.
- This rule is to keep classes competitive only.
- Motor claim does not include: Carburetor & Intake on Briggs, breather, exhaust & clutch.
- The track reserves the right to empty gas tank and refill with track gas at any time.
- Track reserves the right to replace cam at any time.
- Track reserves right to tech any kart at any time.
The competitors may not claim any motor.
- FRAMES - Beginner, Pure Stock, Box Stock, Adult Box Stock:
- Any production or custom frame allowed.
- Must be made of steel. No aluminum or titanium.
- Champ karts, may need to add additional weight. No suspension karts.
- FRAMES- Animal, Modified:
- Any production or custom frame allowed.
- Must be made of steel, no aluminum or titanium.
- Champ karts, suspension karts ok.
- NO OPEN FRAMES (FLAT KARTS) IN ANY CLASS!!!
- BODY -All classes:
- Full bodies are optional, feet must be protected w/ a nose cone or tubing.
- Fiberglass, aluminum or steel bodies, a wing may be run on roof of cart.
- BUMPERS AND NERF BARS - All classes:
- Front and rear bumpers, of max. 1" O.D. tubing. May not exeed past outside of tires.
- Nerfbars are mandatory. Max. 1" O.D. tubing, may not extend past the outside of the tires.
- Bumpers and nerf bars must have rounded ends. No sharp edges.
- Roll bar padding around steering column mandatory.
- ROLL CAGE -All classes:
- A roll cage is required. Must be welded.
- Cage must be constructed of minimum 3/4" O.D. steel tubing. No conduit cages.
- WHEELS - Beginner, Pure Stock, Box Stock, Adult Box Stock, Animal, Modified:
- Any steel or cast aluminum wheels allowed, wheel spacers are allowed.
- Aftermarket racing wheels allowed.
- TIRES - Pure Stock, Box Stock, Adult Box Stock
- Any size rubber tire allowed; 6 x 6.50 is max size.
- No aftermarket racing tires are allowed.
- Right rear bead lock is optional, you may cut tires.
- Animal - Right side bead lock is optional, grooving is allowed, may run Burris tires.
- Modified - Burris tires only, right side bead lock is optional.
- FUEL - Beginner, Pure Stock, Box Stock, Adult Box Stock, Animal - Gasoline only (104 Octane). No methanol.
- FUEL -Modified - methanol only.
- WEIGHT:
- Jr. Beginner -265 lbs.
- Beginner Box Stock - 275 lbs.
- Box Stock - 290 lbs.
- Animal - 315 lbs.
- Modified - 340 lbs.
- Adult Box Stock - 360 lbs.
In all classes, any modifications other than noted in this rulebook are grounds for disqualification!!!

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
- KARTS - All Classes, Not Optional:
- All karts must have safety harness sucurely attached to the frame. 5 point harness recommended.
- All karts must have a kill switch inside the kart within drivers' reach.
- All karts must have a kill switch mounted on the outside of frame in the rear.
- All wights must be securely mounted to the frame with your kart number on the weight.
- DRIVERS - All classes, Not Optional:
- All drivers must wear approved full face safety helmet with complete eye protection.
- All drivers must wear full length protective clothing (long sleeves & long pants). Driving suits are recommended.
- All drivers must wear neck brace, and arm restraints attached to the drivers safety harness, not steering column.
- Helmet restraints are recommended, but not required for all classes.
- MODIFIED:
- A (5) point safety harness is required.
- Helmet restraints attached to the helmet and slipped under the arms or a head rest on the right side of the seat, required.
- Fire Suit is required.
No driving in pits. Karts must be pushed in pits.
No motorbikes, motor scooters or 4 wheelers in pits. 4 wheelers may only be used by officials of for starting karts.

**NUMBER REQUIREMENTS**
- ALL KARTS, ALL CLASSES - NOT OPTIONAL:
- Karts must have legible numbers on at least 6" in height.
- Numbers must be mounted on both sides of the kart behind drivers head.
- Must be on the front nose cone of the kart, at least 6" in height.
- Number must be in a color that contrasts to plate or nose cone, example white on black. Please no metallic colors.
- All kart numbers must be registered with the track.
- Decorative numbers painted on the side panels do not meet track requirements, they are difficult to see.
- You must have mounted numbers in addition to any number painted on lower side panels.
- All numbers must be approved by track.

3HP BEGINNER LIVE AXLE CLASS- 4 TO 6 YRS
1. Drive train

2. May remove governor, choke, change air filter.
3. Keyway must be in stock position.
4. Flywheel must be stock
D. Clutch
1. Any shoe clutch.
2. No disk or wet clutches.
3. No dragon skin clutches.
E. Fuel
F. Tires
1. Any size rubber tire allowed.
2. May run any Burris slicks or lawnmower tires only.
3. You may cut tires.
G. Weight
1. 265 lbs
The race procedures, with the exception on inappropriate conduct, may or may not be used in the 3HP Class at the discretion on the track owners. This is a learning class for young drivers and will be handled differently.
Beginners will start all races from a stop until last 4 races when they have more experience.
No black flags in this class, if you spin a car you will go to the rear.

5HP BEGINNER BOX STOCK - 6 to 9 years

4. These motors must be stock; any modifications made to these motors other than those listed will result in disqualification.
5. You may pull out governor.
6. Must leave choke in place.
7. May use steel sleeve.
8. Plastic cam only.
9. Stock flywheel that comes with moter used.
10. Must use Briggs piston; can be oversized to .030" max.
B. Carburetion
1. The carburetor size; 30 ONLY.
2. Plastic gasket may not be drilled.
3. May use aftermarket header and air filter.
4. Must use track approved muffler.
C. Engine Sizes
1. 206cc only.
2. Lift, must meet manufacturer specks or you will be disqualified. We will check.
3. Keyway must be in stock position.
4. Flywheel must be steel.
5. May cut oil dipper.
D. Head
1. Must run the standard EPA head, you may not remove the D-port mark.
2. No Animal heads
3. Must run stock valve; only.
4. Must run stock valve spring, stock keepers only.

2. Flywheel key must be in stock position-no advance timing.
3. Flywheel must be stock for make and model.
4. Stock connecting rods only- stock stroke- no billet rods
5. Crankshaft must be stock- no modifications
6. Must use Briggs piston; can be oversized to .030" max.
7. Stock plastic cams only- NO MODIFICATIONS are allowed to camshaft other than compression release removal

1. Carburetors must be stock "Animal" PZ carburetor that comes with animal motor used ONLY.
2. No air filter adapters or velocity stacks allowed - filter must clamp directly to carburetor
3. Must have stock "Animal" intake - no modifications
4. Hole for pulse fitting may be drilled
5. Bolt holes on both sides of intake may be slotted for proper alignment
6. Mufflers are required at certain tracks due to city ordinances beyond their control.
7. Must have track approved muffler.
C. Engine
1. Advanced timing allowed
2. Flywheel must be stock "Animal" billets flywheel
3. No aftermarket flywheels allowed
4. No machining, or modification in any way allowed
5. Gen 5 Animal flywheel allowed

1. The carburetor sold with the engine, 30's, 32's or 36's ONLY.
2. Plastic gasket may be drilled to 0.750.

H. Driver requirement
1. Driver may not exceed eighteen (18) years of age, as of January 1st of the current racing season year.
2. Driver must have at least one (1) complete season of experience in a stock Animal class,
OR two (2) complete seasons of experience in any other live axle class (5HP or more). |
LAWNMOWER CLASS
1. Must wear DOT approved full-face helmet.
2. Must wear gloves.
3. Must wear long sleeve jacket.
4. Must wear long pants, not shorts.
5. All mowers are to have tether or seat kill switches.
6. Mower must have brake working on at least one wheel.
7. All mowers must be a lawnmower motor with no more than a 27 HR rated engine.
8. The frame has to be a lawnmower frame. It can be changed to improve brakes or steering. It must still be approved by tech official before racing.
9. All mowers must pass tech inspection before racing.
10. All mowers must have an automatic throttle closing device.
11. All front wheels must be drilled with carter keys installed.
12. All mowers must have stock mufflers or pipes run out the back. (I-35 requires mufflers on ALL mowers.)
13. Must have at least 6? in height numbers on hood and rear of mower in contrasting colors to mower color. (If no numbers, we will not score mower). IF ANYONE HAS ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE MOWER, CALL

Additional Safety Requirements
1. Driver must wear helmet restraints, or have right side headrest attached to kart.
2. Fire-resistant racing suit required.
